To celebrate Black History Month we have been learning 'Isn't my name Magical' by James Berry. We have looked at poetic devices and studied the meaning of his poem. Using our partnership skills we learn verses of the poem off by heart to perform to the school. We also explored websites and listened to poetry readings.
On the last Friday half term year 5 and year 6 went to go watch a famous poet; Micheal Rosen. You may know him as a children's poet. He performed a lot of different poems. You may know 'Chocolate Cake and 'Breathing'. He was very good.
